Blue Lake, New Zealand

Blue Lake is located in the Nelson Lakes National Park of New Zealand. This lake has exceptional water clarity. If you can dive depth of 80 meters will find the clarity of this water. Maori tribal people called it the Lake Tikitapu.


Blue Lake will remind you of the Sapphire, beautiful crystals known as a striking blue color. A study from the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research showed that the level of visibility of Blue Lake reached 80 meters above the water surface. While at a depth of 40 meters of the water quality is the same as the distillation of water.

There are green hills around the lake that provide color contrast, an amazing natural scenery for you. You can see the reflection of the sky and the hills by the lake reflected like a mirror.

To get to Blue Lake can be through a pathway from the Blue Lake Reserve in two hours. Blue Lake became one of the favorite destinations of domestic and foreign tourists in New Zealand.
