No different from other old cities in Spain, Toledo has the particularity that. Cobbled streets are narrow and winding, medieval buildings with red roofs of brown, souvenir outlets are hereditary. However, Toledo store magnetic difficult to surpass.

When the bus moves follow the winding road around the hill, the view presented make sense of choking. Time as moving into the past. Ancient stone bridge, Puente de St Martin, stretching over the Tagus River that flows quietly. At one end stood the gate of the city of Toledo is like a fortress.

If only the people who walk on it do not wear jeans, sneakers, or sunglasses, daydreaming about the lives of hundreds of years ago it may be stored for longer.

From the top of the hill, like a fairy tale city of Toledo. About a royal city picturesque nan, a meeting place beautiful princes and princesses riding. The golden city is surrounded by the river where the water is colored green, contrasting with the silvery trees whose leaves fall winter wind.

It would be very easy to get lost in the narrow alleys in the city. When the time is not after us, just let the legs take a step. Maybe at one bend we will cross paths with Santa Maria la Blanca, the building was once a church, mosque and synagogue. Dominated interiors curved pillars that are characteristic Mudejar architecture (Moorish culture in Andalusia). Traces of it can be seen also in the Taller del Moro is a ceramics museum. Referred to as the city of "three civilizations", in Toledo was a touch of Mudejar, Gothic, Renaissance and influenced each other and carve tracks in architecture and art. No wonder the whole town and its contents are declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.

A number of El Greco's masterpiece is stored in several churches in Toledo, including the Santo Tome. If did not get to see it, please stop at the national museum the Prado in Madrid, which saves thousands of diverse collection of Spanish painters of the century, including the collection of El Greco.

There is a typical scene at stores that lined the halls of Toledo. Many stores that sell weapons. Swords, daggers, knives, arranged in rows, partly walled hanged. Beautifully carved scabbard. When removed from sangkurnya sword, his eyes sparkling light. Toledo is a city best sword makers of all time, the trail can be traced back to 2,000 years ago. Almost all the kingdoms of Europe's past ordering a sword from the masters in this town.

Toledo is also known for its pottery crafts. Motive was much inspired by the decorative arts Andalusia. Colors blue, red hearts, yellow, and green intertwine beautifully. Affordable price makes a strong urge to buy it. If it had not remembered that the journey is long and the size of a suitcase that mediocre, certainly a wonderful variety of small plates that had changed hands.

Distance of the city is just 89 kilometers from Madrid. The easiest way to reach them is with a fast train that takes only about half an hour. However, more exciting by bus or private car because of the scenery along the Madrid-Toledo is very beautiful and varied.

Vineyards, rolling green hills, the hills of rock after another refresh the eyes. As well as one by one across the small towns are deserted.
